About Jennifer Palumbo

Expert Tutoring for High School Students

At Alpha College Prep, I specialize in tutoring high school students to help them excel on the SAT and ACT. My focus is on providing personalized support that caters to each student's unique learning style and needs.

Educational Background

I hold a Bachelor's degree from Emory University and a Master's degree from the University of Georgia (UGA). My education has provided me with a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of education.

Professional Experience

Throughout my career, I've supported students from elementary school through college as they pursue their academic goals. In particular, I specialize in helping high school students plan for and apply to college, including helping them study for the SAT and ACT. I've successfully assisted students in improving test scores, crafting compelling applications, and gaining admission to their desired colleges.

I use a combination of teaching strategies that include scaffolding, problem-solving, and simulation to help students understand the concepts and excel academically.

My passion for teaching and commitment to student success is what sets me apart. I work closely with each student to identify their individual needs and create a customized plan to help them reach their academic goals.

I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the a cancellation fee will be charged. For missed appointments without advanced notice, the full fee will be charged. 

We tutor at our office in Albany, CA,  or via video conference anywhere in the world.
